Ashwagandha & Lemon Balm Calm Tea
De-stress in 10 minutes without feeling drowsy.
Ashwagandha is an adaptogen that lowers cortisol over time. Lemon balm provides immediate calming without sedation. Together they're a powerful after-work ritual for anyone who can't switch off.
Ingredients
- ½ tsp ashwagandha root powder
- 1 tbsp dried lemon balm
- 1 tsp chamomile flowers
- 1 cup oat milk (or almond milk)
- 1 tsp honey
- Pinch of cardamom
Instructions
- 1
Warm oat milk in a small saucepan over low heat — do not boil.
- 2
Whisk in ashwagandha powder until fully dissolved.
- 3
Remove from heat. Add lemon balm and chamomile. Steep 5–7 minutes.
- 4
Strain into a mug.
- 5
Stir in honey and a pinch of cardamom.
Pro Tip
Ashwagandha is fat-soluble, so using milk (vs water) improves absorption significantly. Oat milk is the best vegan option here.
